Done in a Day
In addition to its on-going community projects, the Junior League of the Great Lakes Bay Region undertakes a few Done in a Day projects each year. These projects involve a small group of League members doing a hands-on community project. In undertaking these Done in a Day projects, the League assesses community needs and learns more about local non-profit organizations. The League also attempts to provide Done in a Day assistance to organizations that have benefited from past League community projects and grants.
Past Done in a Day Projects include:
- Door-to-Door canned food collection in Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland for Hidden Harvest
- Volunteering with the Special Olympics at their annual Winter Games and Polar Plunge events
- Fitting ice skates at Hoyt Park
