Being a Member of the Junior League
We are excited to welcome new members to the Junior League of the Great Lakes Bay Region. We want to make sure our new members have a great experience!
There are certain requirements for your first year as a new member. They include, but are not limited to:
- Attend new member meetings.
- Plan and implement a community project.
- Attend a community tour to visit nonprofit agencies that the League helped fund/start
- Attend monthly General Membership Meetings to meet more of our Members and learn what's going on
- Pay annual dues
Once you complete your first year as a new member, your commitment will change a little bit. The Junior League is a safe place to learn and grow and we help each other succeed. Some of the requirements will include, but are not limited to:
- Attend monthly General Membership Meetings
- Pay annual dues
- Serve on one committee of your choosing
- Serve on one Festival of Trees committee and complete required shifts as a volunteer at the event
