The Junior League has been supporting the Great Lakes Bay Region since 1929 and has given over 2 million dollars to local community projects. Here are a few recent examples: Donated $30,000 to help design and build a new playground at the Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square. Donated $40,000 to start the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program at the CAN Council of Saginaw County. Advocated for the 21-bill human trafficking package that was signed into law by Governor Rick Snyder on October 16, 2014. Continually train our membership to become board members, non-profit executives, appointed/elected officials, and leaders in our community.
